What's changing

Your HR job isn't going away.
It's being rewritten.

The next generation of HR analyst doesn't do the technical work by hand. They specify what they need, direct AI to do it, and validate the output.

Nobody taught you how to do this. Your degree didn't cover it. Your company's L&D doesn't offer it. Most online courses are written for people three steps behind you.

Some HR analysts are already working this way. Most aren't. Yet.

Who it's for

Built for HR practitioners who want to lead with data.

Designed for people already in the HR seat who need to do more analytical and operational work themselves, faster.

Mid-career HR practitioners

Moving into people analytics or analytics-adjacent roles.

People leaders at scale-ups

Doing more of the analytical and operational work themselves.

HR business partners

Using AI in front of leadership without overclaiming.

HR consultants

Delivering AI-assisted work to clients with rigor.

The Curriculum

Three phases. Ten checkpoints. Portfolio of HR work.

Live work in session, homework on real or near-real data, expert feedback every week.

Phase 0 · Pre-work
Before Checkpoint 1

Setup & Data Hygiene

A primer before the first session. The data privacy, risk, and legal boundaries that protect you and your company. What HR data can safely go where, and what should never touch a public model.

Self-paced
Phase 1 of 3
Prompting
Checkpoint 01

How AI actually works (and what that means for your job)

Mental model, what AI is and isn't, what specification looks like in practice.

Checkpoint 02

Direct prompting with the PACT model

How to specify what you need so AI gives you what you want. No more guessing whether your prompt is "good."

Checkpoint 03

Meta-prompting

Different kinds of meta-prompts and when to use them. Having AI critique, refine, or structure its own work.

Checkpoint 04

Validating AI output line by line

Reading what AI produces. Finding the errors deliberately. Building your validation checklist.

Phase 2 of 3
Analysis
Checkpoint 05

Multi-driver analysis

Cleaning, summary stats, driver analysis on real HR datasets. Correlations, drivers, and trends over time across multiple datasets at once.

Checkpoint 06

Open-text at scale

Read every comment, not just the loud ones. Employee listening, exit interviews, engagement comments.

Checkpoint 07

Executive narrative writing

Using AI to turn your analysis into an executive-grade narrative summary. The kind of writeup leadership actually wants to read.

Phase 3 of 3
Automation
Checkpoint 08

Workflows, agents, and what good automation looks like

Start with the vocabulary. Workflow, agent, agentic. Then what each actually is, and what separates good automation from bad.

Checkpoint 09

Building your agent

Automate a recurring HR task you actually have. The monthly retention report, the headcount reconciliation, or something else.

Checkpoint 10

Workflow design and handover

Turn your agent into a documented workflow another person could run. Including automating recurring analysis.

What you walk away with

Everything you walk away with.

Analytical projects

A driver analysis, an open-text themes summary, and an executive narrative writeup on real HR data. All directed at AI and validated by you.

Build · 02

A working agent

A small agent that automates a recurring task you actually have. Built with Claude tools.

Build · 03

A documented workflow

Why now

This skill isn't coming.
It's here.

The gap between "uses AI casually" and "leads AI-assisted work" is becoming the career inflection point for people in HR analytics.

// signals.md
Job listing → AI fluency required
Interview → "have you built anything with AI?"
Promotion → scales insights with AI tools
Hiring lead → this is now a baseline

Common questions

Questions before you start.

Mid-career HR practitioners who want to lead AI-assisted work. People analysts, HRBPs, HR consultants, and people leaders at scale-ups. You'll get the most out of it if you've worked with HR data before (spreadsheets, basic stats) and want to direct AI rather than fight with it. If you're brand new to HR analytics entirely, we'll talk through fit on the intro call.
Yes. A short setup primer before checkpoint 1 covers ChatGPT and Claude basics, account setup, file uploads, and data hygiene. By the time the first live session starts, you'll be comfortable with the basics.
No. AI does the actual scripting and code. Your job is to specify what you want, validate the output, and iterate. You don't need to know Python, SQL, or any other language to do this program.
Yes, but with explicit boundaries. The pre-work module covers what HR data can safely go into public models (anonymized, summarized, role-level) versus what should stay inside your enterprise environment (raw compensation, PII, performance reviews). Every checkpoint reinforces the boundary.
Plan on 2-4 hours of homework per checkpoint. Heavier in phase 2 and 3 when you're building. Sessions themselves are 90 minutes.
Very common, especially in regulated industries and government. We cover what your options are: enterprise-deployed alternatives, personal accounts for sample data, sanitized datasets for practice. The data hygiene module is built around exactly this question.
Self-paced. You book the 10 checkpoints at whatever cadence works for your calendar.
Yes. You get a certificate of completion you can share on LinkedIn, in interviews, or with your employer.
